We love our shows so much we created a blog for it.
athenawj is a writer-mama-artist-editor-blue ribbon junkie who can't get enough of her favorite t.v. shows (and the ridiculous amount of videotapes in her house proves it). She's owned various t.v.s for awhile, but only recently discovered the joys of OnDemand.
merserene is a professional-turned-student who has an unhealthy addiction to some shows. She bought her first TV last year and is particularly fond of old reruns and British comedy.

Another week of TV has begun. Here's a quick review about what's been happening on my TV set.
L&O: SVU
Nice opening with Robert Patrick as the child molester who is suspected of having raped and kidnapped a teenage girl. Patrick always creeps me out (just a little); the role suited him well and I was the most happy with his performance. The regulars, on the other hand, I'm not too sure about. The whole thing with Stabler going to the meetings and trying to befriend Patrick screamed of entrapment - it was like dangling alcohol to recovering alcoholics - and I couldn't help but felt somewhat disgusted by the set-up. Sorry to say that Stabler didn't win any points with me.
Lost
That was an unexpected answer to what was down the hatch. The thought of the hatch having been a submarine bunker of some sort crossed my mind, but I wouldn't have guessed that JJ Abrams would've put a person down there, after all. Some have expressed their disappointment at what was down the hatch, but I thought it a nice twist. Of course, having Desmond down there opened up many other cans of worms: Why was he down there, why him, what was he doing there, for how long, why did he look deranged, WTH is up with the 50s-ish mega computer down there, and why the phono records. Though, finding a person/Desmond down there was about the only highlight of the episode for me. I didn't really care for Jack's flashback, about how he met his future-wife, Sarah. What really bothered me was the god-awful wig rug thing they had him put on to make sure you know it was during his "younger days." As if. But I can't wait to find out what happened to the folks who were on the raft. And Walt.
L&O
Um, well, I'm glad to see Jesse Martin back. I missed him, but I liked Michael Imperioli, too. Truth be told, I was more engrossed with my reading than with the episode. I can't even recall off hand what it was about. At least with Cardboard Serena I could bitch about how horrible she was. I don't want L&O to die off, though, but they need to do something to regain my attention.
Arrested Development
Did I miss the last episode of last season? For some reason, I don't remember some of the things the show claimed to have left at. However, it didn't take long to catch up. I'm very happy to report that since it's now on Monday nights, and there are no competing shows in my Monday night spot (Two And A Half Men might've been it, except I can't get CBS with my TV), I'll be able to watch this much more loyally this season. Lucille creeps me out a bit with her slow blink of an eye, and just herself in general. But I love Jeffrey Tambor as George Sr. and am glad to see him out of the attic. Poor Tobias with the (painful!) hair plugs! Not so sure about Charlize Theron's guest appearance...she didn't strike me as being very funny. But, I very much agree with my fellow TV Lady that the name Bob Loblaw cracks me up. That + Scott Baio as the Bluth's attorney will have me watching.
Okay, I'm on Mr. Calm's computer, typing with his weird sticky keys (I feel like the writer in Misery) so I can finally post over here.
SVU preview: okay, merserene, you know I only usually pay attention to Stabler, so he's all I remember from the season preview. Here's the gist: Stabler screaming (I mean mouth wide open) at a perp; Stabler in the shower (!!), and Stabler handcuffed to a car door handle while Robert Patrick menacingly speaks to him. That last one is from next week's premiere, when Stabler goes undercover as a sex offender to stop another.
I guess he gets found out, huh?
Also, I read in TV Guide that this season, Mary Stuart Masterson will be back, and Stabler will talk to her, work out his problems. We're supposed to find out what's at the root of all his problems.
Whatever. Also, Olivia will be the one having the meltdown, because of where she's at in her life.
Whatever.

Threshold: This is on CBS Friday nights, and out of all the supernatural shows this year, this one's getting the best reviews. Carla Gugino, Brent Spiner, Peter Dinklage, and Charles S. Dutton are in it, and that's a top-notch cast. They play a team of scientists who find out about first contact, and it's their job to HIDE it from the public. Thing is, these aliens are mean, and they either kill people or make them crazy/evil.
I'm just thrilled that Brent Spiner's on t.v. again.

The Office: You know, if NBC wants this show to do well, they should at least buy it ad space in TV Guide. But there isn't even an episode description of the season premiere! However, it's about Dunder Mifflin's annual Dundies awards banquet, and it's being held at Chili's. Sounds uncomfortable and hilarious.
They're also going to deal with sexual harassment, and one episode a fire will break out, and they'll spend the entire ep in the parking lot.
Whoa. Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire trailer.
Chills. Down. My. Back!
